GPS Receiver — Software Part Number 6010-0081-000

Version Date Changes
1.31 12/2023

Increased some data rejection thresholds due to excessive triggering from the increasingly active ionosphere as the peak of the solar cycle approaches.  Some customers who monitor very closely see the receiver drop back to the Acquire state for about three minutes.  These events do not cause disruption to the time and frequency outputs and are therefore considered "nuisance" alarms.  The latitude at which the receiver is operating influences the likelihood of seeing these events, with equatorial regions being most active.

RECOMMENDATION: Upgrade if you are experiencing these "nuisance" alarms.

1.30 10/2019

Improved hardening against, and logging of, anomalous GPS system events.

RECOMMENDATION: Please upgrade.

1.20 6/2017

Improved GPS signal interference rejection.

RECOMMENDATION: Please upgrade.

1.11 12/2016 Changes include:
1.  Subtle improvement in handling of GPS Iono model updates.
2.  Improved behavior in installations with poor satellite visibility.
3.  Added two new commands for restoring operation after using a GPS simulator.
RECOMMENDATION: Please upgrade the Linux Subsystem (RFS), the GPS Subsystem and the GPS Receiver.
1.10 9/2016 Added support for Real-Time Ionospheric Corrections (RTIC) Option.
RECOMMENDATION: Please upgrade.
1.02 5/2016 Changes include:
1.  Fixed inability to come out of position unknown mode after unit has been moved a very long distance.
2.  Increased integrity checking of leap second, UTC and ionosphere model data received from GPS almanac transmissions.  This will help protect Meridian II from problems that may occur due to GPS system errors or spoofing.  If data is received that fails the integrity checks it is saved in a system log file.
RECOMMENDATION: Please upgrade the Linux Subsystem (RFS), the GPS Subsystem and the GPS Receiver.
1.01 8/2015 Initial release.
