EndRun Technologies Introduces CDMA Timing to India

Santa Rosa, CA, August 12, 2008 - EndRun Technologies, a manufacturer of time and frequency equipment, today announced that its CDMA product line is now available for use in India.  The industry-leading Tempus LX and Unison Network Time Servers with CDMA provide NTP where other time servers cannot.  EndRun is the pioneer in developing timing products that use CDMA as a synchronization source, as opposed to the traditional synchronization sources such as GPS.  CDMA-synchronized products have been shipping since 2000 and are extremely well-received because the product antennas can be installed inside buildings, anywhere a cell phone signal is available.  GPS antennas require a view-of-the-sky so are typically mounted on rooftops.  This can be very problematic, especially for customers in high-rise, rented, or leased buildings where roof access is limited or unavailable.

EndRun's CDMA products have been capable of operation in North America, Brazil, China, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and elsewhere.  India uses a unique set of frequencies within the 25MHz AMPS band that was previously not available in the CDMA Time Servers.  "We're very pleased to have the capability for Indian operation in our CDMA-based products," said Dan Paine, Sales Manager.  "India is an important market and the demand for IT infrastructure is increasing rapidly.  We wanted our CDMA products, particularly our NTP Time Servers, to be able to serve this market."

About CDMA Timing:
Developed by Qualcomm, the CDMA cell phone system operates throughout much of the world.  Timing signals distributed throughout the CDMA cell phone system are tightly synchronized to GPS, which is traceable through NIST and the USNO to the BIPM in France.  These timing signals are used by EndRun products to provide precision timing information for the synchronization of computer networks using NTP.

About EndRun Technologies:
EndRun Technologies designs, develops, manufactures and markets precision time and frequency products.  These products are needed in widely dispersed markets such as calibration laboratories, power utilities, military test range timing, wired and wireless telecommunications and many others.
